From the beautiful city of Redondo Beach comes a fresh grocery getter. Oliver Tragert’s WRX turns heads all over the South Bay.
Oliver of Team Nuisance picked up this wagon in the summer of 2010. It sat on the same TE37s but they were orange. A few months after having the car Oliver went to America’s tire to get some new tires mounted. The clumsy guys there chipped a huge piece of paint off of his wheels. Oliver demanded that they fix their error. When Oliver got his wheel back it was a dull orange pastel color rather than the original neon orange. America’s tire said that was all they could do and Oliver was too fed up to continue dealing with them.
A few months later Oliver and his friend were driving to Las Vegas. His friend was sleeping in the passenger seat when the front left tire exploded and came completely off the wheel. Oliver managed to pull the car off the road safely but dropped to his knees when he saw the damage to his TE37. The wheel was dented and ground flat on the side. Luckily he was able to get his wheel refinished and then he was left with the decision of what color to powdercoat them. Needless to say, Oliver went with Tiffany & Co. Teal. It may not be your cup of tea; but your girlfriend will sure as hell love it.
Since purchasing the car, Oliver has been on four different suspension set ups. Starting with HKS Hipermax coilovers, Oliver moved onto some Tokico D-specs with Racecomp wagon springs and from there he went to Rokkor Coilovers. After using the Rokkors for a few weeks Oliver’s wagon now rests on BC BR Extreme Drop coilovers.
Aside from cosmetics this wagon is far from ordinary. Oliver’s wagon has a stroker 2.2 liter engine with just over 300 horsepower to the wheels. Nothing crazy but enough power to pick up some Chef Boyardee and Lucky Charms.
To top it all off, we’ll conclude with a sick rolling shot by our photographer Jared Bedrejo from UMWorks.
